Things have changed since the days of spoons the gents has been refurbed apart from no bolt on the cubicle there is nothing wrong with them and the removal of the rude irishman behind the bar has improved the place not even spoons wanted him all staff except him went over the road he was the last remnant of spoons anyone would think he was there for his own entertainment asked him one night what match was going to be shown he replied celtic cos i want it on pub was nearly empty by half time dougie59 - 8 Oct 2011 10:10
D.J. Needs kick up a*** too fond of putting an album on and dissapearing outside to smoke and drink and coming back when last track of album starts. The other night he must have been playing b sides he was going for over an hour before I even recognised a song yet sometimes even with this d.j it is sometimes a good night.service pretty good not too expensive compared to some in Twickenham dougie59 - 15 Aug 2011 22:41
I havent been in this place for a long time. My main memories of this place is when it was The Moon Under Water (Wetherspoons) before the later Wetherspoons/Lloyds Bar The William Webb Ellis previously Sorting Room opened. I guess the place is much the same as it has always been attracting the daytime crowd of old farts making the place look like Gods waiting room and work dodgers who have just come out of the job centre next door to spend there Giro's on cheap flat beer. I used to frequent this establishment when my prefered tipple was Stella and Red Aftershock as opposed to fine ales and malts. My lasting memory of this place was one evening standing in the bar desperate not to wet myself. This was due to not being able to go to the toilet due to some fat skinhead standing in there threatening to smash a wine bottle over the head of anyone who dared set foot in what he must have felt was his own private toilet. Never the less I have not been in many times since however if the Spoons over the road wasnt there then I probably would for the cheap beer. BeerGutt - 28 Jul 2011 14:06
well must say still the best place to go on a sunday night, karaoke is by far the best and as doors are locked at 10.30 it keeps the drunks and idiots out, a great regular place for all karaoke fans and now they are doing a 70's 80's disco night on a friday and its awesome.....dont believe me come see for yourself python888 - 9 Feb 2011 12:38
Must remark on the last two comments as I've not been on for a while.... ilovedrink toilets are clean and its only the ones worse for wear hit the floor, food is by far the best price and quality especially compared to the owen. and as for karaoke its the best in the area with more songs to choose from than others been to them and know, and by the amount of people ar the karaoke it shows. Irish guy has gone.. and as for the kj drinking its what a pub is for...still you've not been missed enjoy the owen..... python888 - 18 Jul 2010 02:01
