I don't know why the pub is so quiet its legendry, especially the ginger haired grumpy bar man that grunts when you talk to him. I love this place just wish it had more people in theer! boyo79 - 12 Nov 2008 16:45
a bit sedate, but this suburban pub is bright and friendly - good place for a pre-match drink (away fans served!) mozzzzzz - 28 Sep 2008 19:07
I don't know what gchadwick's issue with the Cottage is. I attended a wedding there just a few days before he posted his comment, and I have nothing but good things to say. The decorations were beautiful, the food a decent pub grub buffet, and the staff were working hard in extremely hot weather. We all had a great time, and the bride and groom couldn't have been more pleased. Maybe it's not the same run down old boozer it was a few years ago, but to say "it's as close to a complete disaster you can get" is ridiculous and and very unfair. shebangs - 12 Sep 2008 15:47
This pub is as close to a complete disaster as you can get. A terrible shame that a great local has been completely ruined. gchadwick - 31 Jul 2008 13:15
You should never go back. You should be happy with your memories. I can remember going on a detour to see an old girlfriend a while back and I did the same with the Cottage. 10 years since I last saw it and God what have they done. It used to be a belter when that Paddy fella ran it. I used to ride the tube for 45 mins just for the craic. Its been given the loving sledgehammer touch of The Spirit Group. Bland, bland, bland. If you must, there is better Spirit pubs close by doing the same drinks and the same menu with a little bit more class, not hard. Shame. As for the ex-girlfriend thats a different kettle of fish, she must of spent the last 10 years eating choclate eclairs which delighted me. So it wasn't all bad on the walk down memory lane in Fulham. spaceman - 30 Apr 2008 14:11
