The North is one of the 'sweethearts' of Clapham. It is a well established local with fantastic a food and drinks menu with service to match. An ideal place to dine of an evening.
It is extremely busy at the weekend and caters for parties and group bookings. It is also a fantastic destination venue for those coming for a big night out.
Mon-Thurs- Funk, Soul and Jazz beats wash over a simple yet very tasty menu with a strong focus on quality drinks.
The Weekend- Nights are extremely busy but not over-crowded. Jackin, funky house Fridays. Deep, funky house Saturdays.
Cool downtempo stuff on Sunday.
Weekend brunch is served from 11am-3pm and has quite possibly the best breakfast in town. Banana smoothies, freshly squeezed OJ... YUM

Three years on, thought I'd post again. Another Saturday night, another birthday and.... nothing's changed really. Pretty rammed, same clientele, staff were working hard and fast, but struggled to clear the four-deep crowd waiting to be served. Music still pretty average and way too loud. I was a bit disappointed as I'd expected it to move with the times a bit. I had a good time, but I wouldn't' choose to go there. jonnymusic - 2 Jan 2009 17:52
I must say, after reading some of these comments, im astounded, albeit they were posted a year ago, I went in for a friend's birthday party a couple of weekends ago and I absolutely loved it. The staff were helpful, efficient and very easy on the eye, the music was great (Dj with Live bongo player playing a cool selection of non cheesy but fun music) and the mojitos were fantastic. . I will definitely be going back for my birthday party (it helps that its a stumble from the tube station as well) janeysouth - 4 Jun 2008 18:14
Went on a Saturday night for a friend's bday - absolutely rammed but I have no idea why. Wine list ordinary, beers non existant - just identikit Eurolagers and Guinness. 9 quid for a pint and a glass of wine, and the food service stopped at 8pm. It may well be OK outside of weekends but a bland and soulless experience on a Saturday night. anonymous - 4 Nov 2007 10:37
Variable. Avoid on a Friday/Saturday night unless pre-Infernos geezers are your thing! Food can be ok, but have had poor service and luke warm food on one or two occasions. Thursday nights are pretty good- good music. Packed when matches are on. Seating outside, although right on the main road. Nice G&T. edaj - 13 Aug 2007 15:43
The managers are helpful but the rest of the staff are awful and certainly the door staff....not all its cracked up to be! anonymous - 20 Jul 2007 19:17
