| Popped in for lunch on a rather driech day last August. It was early in the day but the welcome was warm and as more people arrived there was a pleasant atmosphere. | Unfortunately The Barn has changed its policy on dogs and they are no longer allowed, which is a real shame. It is a great pub with friendly staff and good food and we would have spent many more hours & many more pounds in the friendly atmosphere. The Barn is in the middle of the Cologin Chalets and and most of the people had dogs, we were there for New Year and Mr jim battison(owner of Cologin Chalets & The Barn) failed to notify any of the dog owners who had booked to stay in his country chalets! We would have cancelled had he notified us as would many others who we spoke to. The majority of dog owners who pay to take their dogs on holiday with them are invariably responsible people with well behaved dogs who will generally spend plenty of time and cash in a welcoming Pub accepting well behaved dogs - what a loss to both businesses - what a loss! mrdog - 19 Jan 2007 20:49 |
