| A very welcoming and cosy bar area. They always have on tap two real ales: the regular being Belhaven 80/- with a guest ale (when I last visited it was Orkney's Dark Island on). Being but a stone's close to the Belhaven brewery it's not surprising that Belhaven beers do feature rather prominently amongst its range. The barman is very knowledgeable about the beer, it's always well kept and tastes just as it should. The restaurant does a fairly brisk trade in the evenings - the fare is actually very good and reasonably priced, too. All in all, a recommended venue either for a quiet evening's drink, or for a lunch time pint in the summer whilst sitting in the garden out the back. North_Easterly - 23 Jul 2008 20:16 |
