Yes yes and yes beautiful cider it really does the trick! too many tricks if you're not careful! Always dogs in there standing on stools and doing tricks - what an establishment may it last forever and forever give us joy mrsburns - 7 Jan 2009 22:49
This pub is a Brighton institution and has a large collection of excentric locals-excellent Dark Star brews plus 2 or 3 guests and a whole load of continental lagers. Extremely popular with all kinds of folk-oldies, students, albion fans etc-highly recommended-Don't expect a seat mind! Lutherslegs - 7 Jan 2009 17:01
Great dark star beers, or foreign lagers if that's more your thing - in a city with more than its share of great pubs, this is one of the best. daveinbrum - 22 Nov 2008 22:19
There's one major drawback to the Evening Star and that's missing one train after another, so tempting is the range of spot-on beers here. Just a quick one on the way back to the station? Don't even consider it! nickdavies - 22 Nov 2008 11:55
Real ale drinkers heaven really...pretty basic for everyone else but always a good lively atmosphere and and a snug feel to it....and of course an unbeatable location to recover from or await the train journey! jeremyb - 21 Nov 2008 06:21
