Good beer , great food (belly pork is to die for) great looking barmaids (the wife says the blokes are not to bad ) would be 10 out of 10 if slightly cheaper and a bit nearer civilisation . oggwyn - 6 Sep 2008 00:18
What a success. In the 30 years i have worked and visited this pub it has never been so good. It has achieved what a thousand pubs wish they could; clean, correctly staffed, the right mix of beer wine and ambience. I just hope this small chain stays that, a small chain ie 14 pubs. If they get any bigger they might lose that personal touch. Lets face it, 14 freehouses all turning over a min of 1 mill, on margins of 60%, with no shareholders, family owned, you dont need much more. Well done chaps, keep up the good work!! billnwill - 11 Jun 2007 22:54
Extremely smart pub catering for National Sports Centre and attractive nearby village, local beer OK but hard to appreciate without eating I think - worth a trip mtaylor40 - 5 Mar 2007 19:32
Well kept range of regular and guest real ales. Excellent food but a bit pricey. A couple of real open fires. Spacious interior with scrubed wooden tables, wooden and tiled flooring. Located on a quiet country lane with views over open farm land from the large beer garden. Some of the barmaids are worth appreciating too. smithy100905 - 24 Nov 2005 09:22
