In desperate need of refreshment I ventured forth, only to be very warmly greeted by the landlord who them served me a very cheap pint of lager. I talked with one of the locals and left, the landlord hailing 'see you soon' behind me. Genuine, friendly local pub for local people.

A lovley lively local pub full of market traders from the nags head market.
donwsides service can be very slow as the staff seem overworked and only guiness and lager on offer though at decent prices

What a dump. I was in there for 45 minutes - which was 45 minuted too long. Never had so many dodgy looks from people waiting to kick someones head in.

A bit of a rough-house. I was here for about an hour and heard more expletives from locals in that hour than I think I've ever heard in an hour before. Not sure if it's still a Mr Q's, but there's a large pool area out the back of the pub. I couldn't spot any ales on hand-pump.

I assume that if you are local and have nothing better to do with your day, you'd probably quite enjoy hanging out here. The pint of Tetley I had was well-poured but I only bothered staying for one as nothing about the place made me want to stay for longer than that.
