Visited last weekend. Now owned by Skinners, all ales (5) superb. Only downside, the scalextrix has GONE, taken by the previous Landlord, where to? anyone to help this question. chiefknut - 31 Oct 2008 14:52
TrIed it out last March, and will be in this weekend 24/10/08. The reason is FOOTBALL IS BANNED. chiefknut - 21 Oct 2008 16:14
I visited this pub in September last year, while in Cornwall for my brother's wedding, and was afforded a warm welcome by Peter & Rosemary (hope they are still there, and are well). Great beer range, includes all the Skinners brews. An enthusiastic team runs this establishment, and the landlord stops at nothing in his innovativeness. Check behind the dartboard for a 52-foot Scalextric track, and there were some quite imaginative adaptations made to his wife's wheelchair during her incapacity. Certainly a must-visit pub, prepare to be entertained! lad_newton - 12 Sep 2007 17:41
A great place to get beer from local micros when visiting Penzance, there always seems to be a few from Skinners and one or two from other local breweries , I had an excellent brew from the new Coastal Brewery when I visited last month. Well worth the walk out from the town centre. Tweeky - 2 Sep 2007 14:32
Excellent well kept ales which prob gives it the title CAMRA pub of the year for the region. Had a lovely pint of "Sea Dog IPA" from the local Doghouse brewery.Very friendly service too. 8/10 fat_beer_badger - 27 Jun 2006 13:55
