Nothing special here, only 3 or 4 beers on and 3 were strong. They were good enough tasting though.
Presumably there was something (Planning? Structural?) to stop Wetherspoons from gutting the place like they usually do, consequently it's loads of rooms opening into each other through loads of doorways with no doors. Could have been cosy individual rooms but no, a bit lacking in character and ruined by the massive aircon duct – another 'Spoons speciality.

Busy pub - had a nice pint of Gathering Storm stout from Elland Brewery - rather small bar for such a large pub - nice pleasant staff though and the crowd seemed alright.

A Lovely Wetherspoons that is in the GBG for a reason. The beer is good as is the food. A must for bargain hunters in busy old Manchester

Quite enjoyable with a few in after 11pm on a Wednesday night, with City at home.

Pint of Thwaites Wainright and a Moor Top from the Buxton Brewery were both excellent washed down with a wee Glenmorangie.

Nice enough atmosphere. There were a few loud 'uns in, but the layout means you can avoid the noise if y6ou wish.

I'm a big fan of the City Arms round the corner, but this place really impressed me.

Sampled a cracking pint from the Elland Brewery in here. I can't remember the name of it as I was rather intoxicated by this point. Friendly bar staff were keen and polite. One of the best spoons in MCR.
