| This pub is now under new Management and has much improved, introducing a meat raffle on a Sunday, which is proving very popular and there is also Live music arranged for 3rd March. Management and staff are very friendly and make you feel really welcome. The pub has a nice restaurant, which has just been award 3 stars for its food. It is now doing a traditional Sunday roast and an 'All you can eat' buffet during the week, so definately worth dropping in. Ella_G - 12 Feb 2012 14:25 |
| Recent changes are positive, no doubt about that. I'm not, however, sure how long they will get away with displaying the sign "No Niggers or Coons allowed". No real beer. Dancing_Daises - 15 Jan 2012 18:57 |
| THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER! We went there on Saturday evening for Karaoke and was pleasently surprise as we use to be regulars in there until the Polish nights started! it is now clean and bright with friendly ENGLISH bar staff and smiley happy bouncers to keep out the trouble! Saturday was the Army/Navy rugby match at Twickenham and the pub was full of the supporters and the atmosphere was warm ,fun and comfortable with no looking over your shoulder! The Bell has had its problems in the past but now there is new management taken over and the pub is in the process of a redecorate, and after a long chat with Chris the new Manager who also does the Karaoke he said the new kitchen will hopefully be up and running soon selling an English menu and he is trying to make it a Famly friendly place. Please ignore all the negitive posts about the Bell and give the new management a chance, we will going back and making this our regular again!!! c00mes - 9 May 2011 11:02 |
| The Pub with no HEAD... 2010-06-14 We went for dinner to The Bell Pub in Hounslow with my husband last Saturday 12th of June 2010, and we have ordered couple of steaks, I have ordered a medium rare steak and the waitress brought me a blue steak, when I try to complain after half an hour because nobody came to ask if everything was ok or if we want any drink , the polish waitress told me in aggressive manner and very poor English "I didn’t do it I will call the chef" the Algerian chef came in a defensive attitude (wearing a dirty blue jean and dirty sport shoes in the kitchen) and asked me what can he do for me, I just asked him to cook a little bit more my steak as it was too rare for me, he took my plate to the kitchen and after 15 minutes hearing Engineering work and the char grill he brought my plate with the steak very well done!!!!! He divided it into two pieces and flat them to grill them again... my husband kindly went to complain in my place and the “chef” told him: “sorry I cannot get it right...” dirty tables, two polish ladies as waitress that don’t speak good English and do not know NOTHING about customer service, wearing shorts troursers and flip flop, There is nowhere to complain about this issues, no managers, no owners, the bar staff do not want to help or get involve with nothing, very bad service, big disappointment, I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody!!!
